Dancing for Body & Mind!
One of the best kept secrets when it comes to learning to dance is the mental and physical benefits.
Dancing offers many benefits, which include developing social skills, and physical wellness. Dance has been proven to reverse the signs of aging in the brain and fight off dementia. When you dance your brain is required to memorize a pattern, and then have your body complete it while you are running the sequence in your head. This keeps the hippocampus active, which is responsible for memory and reciting. This also activates the cerebrum, the part of your brain responsible for moving your body. It is extremely important to keep these parts of your brain active, which will strengthen your memory, balance, and coordination.
